There are literally hundreds of Business Exhibitions and Trade Shows all over the UK every year.  Buzzing with exhibitors and visitors, these shows should be on every entrepreneur’s annual calendar – and here’s why:

  1. They’re usually free to visit. I’ve rarely across a business expo or trade show that you have to pay to visit, but if you do it ‘ll be very cheap. You will have to register for tickets which will either be sent to you by post or email and you can usually register for more than one ticket per company.
  2. Networking:  Business Expos are a great venue for networking. Often they include specific networking events as part of the schedule – either a pre-event networking breakfast or a speed networking event at some point in the day. Check the website for the event you are interested in to see what’s on offer. But even if they don’t, then just walking around chatting to the exhibitors and visitors you can get some great networking in. Don’t forget to take plenty of cards!

  3. Get Ahead of the Competition: Keeping up to date with the latest products and services available for your business keeps you ahead of your game. Going to a business expo means you get to see all the latest stuff in one place, and you can have it demonstrated to you too! And you can research the competition- visit the stands of your biggest rivals, or the businesses that inspire you and chat to the business owners themselves. I recommend studying the exhibitor list and floor plan of the larger shows before you go so that you can prioritise the stands you definitely want to visit. Its so easy to get side-tracked otherwise!
  4. Special Offers: You’ll come across some really great promotional offers which will only be available to those visiting the expo. I’ve benefitted from some really great discounts on products and services I’ve come across when visiting.
  5. Free Seminars and Workshops:  I cannot stress the benefit of these. These kind of events will normally cost you hundreds of pounds, and the calibre of the speakers is usually very high, specially at the larger shows. Getting free advice and tips from some of the most successful businesses and entrepreneurs in the UK is not to be sniffed at! Just make sure you check the
